Pray the Rosary. It's been a process beginning with just Hail Mary's and evolving into the full sequence with the mysteries, prayers, etc. For Christmas, my gift to all on my list (including 150 people who stay at the shelter) was to pray the rosary for their intentions each day of the 12 days of Christmas (Dec. 25 - Jan. 6). To learn the rosary complete with the mysteries (joyful, sorrowful, luminous, glorious), I got a musical rosary CD - a bit new age-y for my taste (do not like electronic music at all) - but her voice was nice and after I got over the background music, found it a good way to stay focused every day. I went solo a couple of days ago and almost have all the prayers down. This has been a gift to me as well.

Many a heart felt warmth be with you as well as your sharing of soulful common known knowledgys’.
My tears have shed many regarding this movement of the homeless and the shelters there of because of many an ignorance in this soulful being of our world and it’s offerings, which should speak much more of and about, through this righteous world of our governed land!
God Bless your spirit…..I Love You!
Hi Jayne Marie, and Happy New Year!
During the season of Lent I like to pray the rosary with a small group of very dedicated rosary-prayers at my church – most of them these wonderfully wizened older ladies. They will gather in the little blessed sacrament chapel right after the daily morning Mass, always remembering the intentions of those who have asked to be lifted in prayer, and pray aloud even if their strength or their voices wane … there is really such a deep tenderness in praying along with a group like this, and a grace and a quiet power in these devotional traditions ….
Love and blessings,
Mary
I was just thinking about getting a rosary, where might I find the one u speak of…blessings
Thanks for the comments - Mums.., Mary, Kimmergy…
Mary - I haven’t yet done the rosary in a group at church but am keeping my eye’s open for opportunities.I don’t know if I told you or not? I’m in RCIA and am converting - confirmation will be at Easter. I have been working with Mary though for probably 3 years, ever since I started the shelter work. I started to do what i called Rosary Walks every Sunday after Mass about two months ago in a local walking park that’s a sort of nature preserve. I gave two people who walk with me pocket rosaries and we simply each pray the rosary silently with an intention. I so have felt her presence each time we walk and had this validated by both who unsolicited shared that they each felt her walking with us. We’ve taken a short break as it’s been very snowy and cold here in recent weeks but may resume even tomorrow.
On a side note - in contemplation about my confirmation name, I decided to use my middle name Marie in honor of this relationship with Mary.
Kimmergy- rosaries can be purchased in many places. If you don’t have a catholic book/gift store near you, there are many online. Here are a couple of sources for handmade rosaries:

and here’s a good article -LearningAbout and Praying the Rosary.
Blessings!
